The pasta is freshly made every morning by the skilled hands of Pastificio Fontana’s very own artisan pasta makers, who pass down their skills from one generation to the next. They produce plain, egg and filled pasta varieties, using formulas inspired by the best traditional recipes from Emilia and Piacenza.

At Pastificio Fontana, modern technology remains at the service of artisan production, where many steps are still done entirely by hand.

The production process takes place in specially designed ‘white rooms’ to guarantee a sterile environment – because all packaging is done without the use of preservatives, anti-mould products or anti-oxidants.

The Company’s mission was to make preservative-free pasta with a shelf life of 42 days. This is now a reality and the result is a genuine pasta with an unmistakable flavour and the texture of homemade pasta.


Products are packed in biodegradable containers or trays and sealed using special heat treatment.

FRESH Frozen Pasta
To ensure a high quality product which keeps all its characteristics intact, the pasta is blast-frozen in temperatures below 18 degrees C.
Shelf Life: 10-12 months depending on the product.
